Tough Cats
"Two new Cat 777 dumptrucks purchased by Lafarge Aggregates for their Mountsorrel Quarry are the first to be equipped from new with Svedala Trellex wear-resistant rubber linings. Previous truck bodies have been lined, but works manager Graham Rudin was impressed by the noise-reduction specifications of the Svedala products. The potential reduction in wear and maintenance to the truck’s suspension and bodywork was also an important factor in choosing Trellex linings. Both Cats have been lined with 125mm Trellex wear-resistant rubber. Two more trucks have since been purchased and are also being lined."
