Total control with MikroGrade
Now available from Scanlaser is the Mikrofyn MikroGrade machinery control system, designed to increase the productivity and efficiency of dozers, graders and other plant machinery operating on site. The control unit combines ease of use and flexibility with powerful control software.
It can be used with numerous laser sensors and is fully scaleable from a basic 2D entry system to 3D capability within the same control panel (users would have to upgrade to the 3D GPS option).
The MikroGrade 2D system provides automatic control of both slope and elevation, but adding an extra mast and laser sensor allows the driver to work independently of the slope direction. The 2D control system is suitable for contractors who want to further increase their machine productivity with easy-to-use, high-accuracy grade control.
Thanks to MikroGrade’s ‘Snap-on and Snap-off’ capability, which allows the user to change from one configuration to another, the 3D system is said to open new dimensions in earthmoving and fine grading.
In 3D mode, the system brings design surfaces and alignments inside the cab, eliminating the need for survey markers, strings or laser sensors. This means the user can work anywhere on the design surface – guided by a GNSS/GPS system or robotic total station.
