The Health and Safety Event
Health and safety exhibition tradition to continue at the NEC following launch of new national event
THE Health and Safety Event, a new national health and safety exhibition and conference programme, will be launched at the NEC in Birmingham from 11–13 March 2014. The new event will be held at the same time as Maintec, the maintenance, plant and asset-management exhibition.
The new event is being organized by Western Business Exhibitions, who for the past seven years have been responsible for a series of regional health and safety events, including: Health and Safety – South; Health and Safety – North; and Health and Safety – Scotland.
Visitors to the new national event will have the opportunity to access a range of educational conferences and seminars, all of which are available free of charge. A central platform of the educational programme is the seminars organized by The British Safety Council, which address the major topics of the day as legislation and behaviour dictates.
The ability to deliver innovative, interactive activities will also be a feature of the new event, such as the ‘Safety Dialogue’ live panel. This will offer visitors the opportunity to engage in live debates surrounding the most significant issues of the day, alongside recognized experts.
Additionally, Health Risks at Work and their Champions Workshop will also be running, giving visitors the chance to expand their knowledge and network with their local Safety Groups, and the opportunity to volunteer to become a Health Risks at Work Champion.
As well as the British Safety Council conference programme other, more practical seminars will take place across the three-day event.
