Terex Finlay continue to invest in screening range
Terex Finlay have reinforced their commitment to continual product development and product improvement with the introduction of their 984 horizontal screener, which, they say, is designed to offer high tonnages, clean products, on-site mobility and general ease of use, and is versatile enough to handle materials ranging from crushed stone, sand and gravel, and coal to recycled concrete and asphalt.
The 984 is fitted with the reputable Cedarapids 6203 20ft x 6ft, triple-shaft, three-deck horizontal screenbox, which features an adjustable forward and elliptical throw with a stroke of up to 19mm. This aggressive screening action allows the operator to regulate the plant to suit the application and produces a high rate of clean products from the on-board conveyors, giving four specific grades of material.
Capable of throughputs up to 800 tonnes/h, the plant features hydraulic drive, galvanized catwalks and access from both sides as standard. Moreover, Terex Finlay claim the substantial length and width of the screenbox allows up to 30% more efficient screening than an inclined screen and say it is especially effective for scalping after a primary impactor or jaw crusher.
The 984 also features a 8m3 direct-feed hopper fitted with variable speed control, crash bars, heavy-duty gearbox, hydraulic drive and a rear flap that, if required, can be lowered to accommodate direct feed from a crusher. The four hydraulically folding stockpiling conveyors are all angle adjustable, have a maximized discharge height of up to 4.8m and have infinitely variable belt speed control for optimum material feed performance. A fifth recirculation conveyor with direct hydraulic drive is also available as an option for applications requiring clean and specifically sized end products.
With a travelling width dimension of just 3m, Terex Finlay say transporting the 984 to site is a simple process and once on site the unit can be operational within an hour.
