Tema Isenmann introduce new screening media

Tema Isenmann have recently launched a new type of screening media into the UK market, which, they claim, has already proven a great success in other countries.

Having undergone extensive trials in Europe, Iseflex is a tensioned polyurethane coated wire system developed to offer users of woven wire all the benefits associated with polyurethane screening media (eg extended wear, noise reduction, ease of use etc), while maintaining the open area of wire.

The screening media is also said to be more ‘user-friendly’ and safer to handle than woven wire due to its flexibility and weight, compared with a similar size wire cloth.

In a recent application, one customer in East Anglia replaced a woven wire, which had typically worn out in two weeks, with Iseflex, thereby increasing working life to 14 weeks.

The same customer had also trialled tensioned polyurethane and rubber, but the loss in open area reduced the rate of production. Tema Isenmann say the use of their screening media ensures minimal downtime, making it morecost-effective than woven wire; the customer in East Anglia, for example, noted it was 22% cheaper than using woven wire.
