Swiss mobile wash plant success for CDE

Company to supply new 100 tonnes/h soil washing plant solution on Lake Zurich

SWITZERLAND-based JMS have commissioned a new CDE wet-processing plant on Lake Zurich, as the company looks to increase its waste-recycling capacity and further enhance its recycling performance and efficiency.

The additional equipment will be integrated into an existing washing plant designed by Swiss engineering firm Inerta and allow JMS to produce high-quality recycled sand products and aggregates for reuse in the local construction industry.

In recent years the reduction in landfill space and increased disposal prices, along with high transport costs, have created a high demand for the recycling and reuse of excavated soils in the Zurich region. This has led to JMS’s decision to adopt a more sustainable approach for the future and maximize the recovery of CD&E waste, which can be returned to the local construction industry as a cost-effective and sustainable alternative material to virgin quarried aggregates.

Andrew Wilson, business development manager for CDE, commented: ‘We’re delighted to be partnering with Inerta on this project. With our 30 years of expertise in wet processing combined with Inerta’s knowledge of the Swiss market and their flexible approach to delivering the best solution to their customers, this is a collaboration that makes sense. We both have similar values and want to put sustainability at the centre of what we do. We’re looking forward to working together to build relationships for the future.’
