Submersible drainage pumps for extreme environments

Grindex have recently launched the Master Inox and its slightly smaller stablemate the Major Inox, the first models in the company’s new Inox series, which comprises three drainage pumps and three sludge pumps. The new pumps are a derivative of the company’s well-known red Proline pump range, but with their cast aluminium parts replaced by cast stainless steel suitable for use in corrosive applications with pH values from 2-10.

Grindex say the stainless steel Inox pumps have been tested and evaluated in extreme conditions, pumping both acidic and alkali fluids. In all tests, the pumps coped with the extreme environments and worked well during the entire test period.

The Inox pumps will share many common spare parts, for example, the shaft seal will fit all Inox pump models, thereby simplifying servicing and minimizing the stocking of spares.

As with other Grindex pumps, all the Inox models come equipped with an air valve that makes the impeller work as a fan to cool the motor should the pump run dry. The pumps can also be equipped with a built-in Smart motor-protection system that protects the pump from single phasing, incorrect direction of rotation and overheating.
