Skelair bring Mc Drill rigs to UK market

 

 

SKELAIR International have introduced the versatile Mc Drill range of drilling machines, aimed at the quarrying, geotechnical and tunnelling sectors, to the UK to complement the successful range of Klemm rigs already marketed by the company. Manufactured

The B Line is designed for versatility and can be used in a wide variety of applications; the V Line is aimed particularly at vertical drilling for geothermal projects; and the G Line is designed to cope with a wide range of bore sizes.

 

Every model in the range is of modular design with a base chassis upon which various components can be added to suit individual customer requirements, and all the rigs can be equipped with rotary heads, rotary-percussive heads or special heads for jet-gro

The most popular model is the versatile Mc180B, which is said to offer high levels of manoeuvrability, stability and productivity in various applications. Skelair say a feature that sets the Mc180B apart from the competition is its engine – a Deutz TCD201

 

Complementing the Mc180B is a smaller rig, the Mc80B, powered by a 142hp Deutz diesel engine, and also the larger Mc230K, equipped with a 200hp Deutz TCD2012 L06 engine. This model is at the larger end of the drill rig market and, in addition to the capab

Skelair International are now offering the Mc Drill range for purchase or hire and can provide full technical and spares back-up, including operator training. The company says most Mc Drill rigs are currently available with a delivery time of 6–8 weeks.
