RMC dispose of UK lime business
RMC Group have sold their UK lime business, RMC Industrial Minerals, to the Lhoist Group of Belgium. Completion took place on 14 December 2000.
The disposal marks a further stage in the implementation of RMC's strategic review, under which the Group is focusing on its core heavy building materials businesses.
RMC Industrial Minerals employ over 90 personnel and operate two modern Maerz kilns at Hindlow, Derbyshire, and Hartley, Cumbria. The value of net operating assets being sold is £18 million.
