Rapid expansion for Raymond Brown

Hampshire-based firm ranked as 64th fastest-growing private company in Britain over past three years

RAYMOND Brown Group are celebrating national recognition for their significant growth, having been ranked in this year’s ‘The Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100’.

The Hampshire-based construction services company was named the 64th fastest-growing private company in Britain, based on profits for the last three years.

The Group, which comprises Raymond Brown Construction, Raymond Brown Minerals & Recycling, Raymond Brown Building and Wilkins Builders, has seen year-on-year growth with profits rising 56% a year, from £1 million in 2007 to £3.8 million in 2010.

In March 2010 the Group underwent a management buy-out by its senior management team, led by managing director Kelvin White (pictured).

Commenting on the Profit Track 100 results, Mr White said: ‘We are all extremely proud to have earned a position on this prestigious list, which over the years has featured the UK’s top businesses.

‘Looking back over the last 36 months, it’s clear that each of the Group’s four divisions have had a phenomenal three years. The construction arm of the business has continued to expand the scale and reach of its operation; Minerals & Recycling now operates five recycling facilities across the south and has just launched a new skip-hire sub-division; and the two building companies have had consistently heavy workloads throughout the period.

‘While the ranking represents a fantastic success for the company, we are now looking to the future, identifying new business opportunities and looking to expand in the areas we already work in. Next year we will be striving for a top 50 position.’
