Plasma cutter from Wilkinson Star

Industrial equipment suppliers Wilkinson Star are now offering the Plasma Cut 26i from Italian welding equipment manufacturers CEA SpA.

The single-phase, 50/60Hz IGBT-based inverter plasma cutter (3.7kVA, 16A fuse) features an integrated industrial compressor for use when compressed air is not available. The unit is also generator-compatible and said to have a clean cutting capacity up to 6mm and severance cutting up to 8mm, cutting through any metal/perforated laminated sheet.

Other key features include: digital electronic control; a pilot arc on the torch, with a safety switch so that it cannot be struck accidentally; over/under voltage protection; and a control panel protected against accidental impacts.
