Nynas achieve EcoVadis gold rating for sustainability
Company secures position in top 5% of all rated companies for its sustainability performance
NYNAS have received an EcoVadis Gold Sustainability Rating for 2024, securing a position in the top 5% of all rated companies for sustainability performance and confirming the business’s commitment to providing customers and partners with transparent and trustworthy sustainability credentials.
Commenting on the achievement, Marika Rangstedt, sustainability manager, sales and marketing at Nynas, said: ‘Earning the gold rating from EcoVadis again, especially after recent strategic and operational changes, is a significant acknowledgment of our sustained commitment and that we have thorough policies and procedures in place in the relevant areas. It is a recognition of our dedication over the past decade to advancing our sustainability practices and embracing the evolving opportunities to lead in our industry.’
Nynas products play a vital role in the transition to a sustainable society. Through their lifecycle the products have a positive impact in many of their applications, eg by providing long service life, thereby helping to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, compared with the next-best alternative product. Likewise, circular product flows are essential to resource efficiency and circular solutions are also high on the agenda in the company’s work on new product offers.
‘We are dedicated to not only adhering to, but also surpassing the evolving standards in sustainability,’ added Ms Rangstedt. ‘This commitment is essential as we gear up for CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) reporting and strive to enhance our processes to meet the stringent criteria of future sustainability assessments.’
Helping companies to improve sustainability across their supply chains and comply with growing global regulations, EcoVadis ratings are the cornerstone of more than 1,200 sustainable procurement programmes within global value chains and have been tested on over 130,000 companies across more than 220 industries and over 180 countries.
