NSSGA appoints communications expert
Association comms specialist Patrick Dunne to lead NSSGA’s ongoing strategic communications efforts
PATRICK Dunne has joined the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) as director of communications, with responsibility for leading the day-to-day communications efforts for the Association.
‘Our industry must have a strategic communications plan that educates policymakers and the public about the aggregates industry – an industry that creates jobs and builds an infrastructure for economic growth in America,’ said NSSGA president and CEO Michael W. Johnson.
‘Patrick is a welcome addition to our team and complements our ongoing strategic communications efforts as we continue to implement our Rocks Build America strategic plan.’
NSSGA implemented the three-year Rocks Build America strategy in a bid to grow both the scope and influence of the industry and the Association.
Mr Dunne previously held the position of assistant director of communications at the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Prior to that, he managed communications and media relations at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
Commenting on his new role, Mr Dunne said: ‘Aggregates are the foundation for our country’s infrastructure. I look forward to bringing my experience to this great industry and leading efforts to promote a clear understanding of their critical nature to federal policymakers, media and communities across America.’
