NSK open new manufacturing plant
BEARING manufactuers NSK have established a new production subsidiary – Shenyang NSK Precision Co. Ltd – to meet the market growth for precision components, such as ball screws and linear guides, in China and other emerging economies.
Located in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, the 70,000 sq m production plant currently houses 600 employees, with an additional area for expansion of around 36,000 sq m if the need arises.
Precision machinery and parts is one of NSK’s key strategic business areas, along with industrial machinery bearing and automotive products. The new subsidiary will expand the company’s precision machinery business, supplying both the Chinese and global markets with high-quality, cost-effective products via a timely and secure supply chain.
A NSK spokesman said: ‘We are striving to implement global sales expansion through active deployment to target industries and regions, and by employing product strategies that match the requirements of each demand area. In addition, by continuing measures to improve productivity, such as lowering overall lead times, we will further advance the capability of our production structure to respond quickly and flexibly to fluctuations in demand.’
