New software from Avery Weigh-Tronix
Avery Weigh-Tronix have launched MI Payload – a software package designed to provide weight-derived data for distribution, transportation and supply chain management processes.
Developed specifically for use in the quarrying industry, the software can link both new and existing weighbridge installations, allowing users to identify the weight of vehicles/trailers, while managing accounts for customers and suppliers (eg sending invoices, receive payments etc).
MI Payload utilizes Microsoft’s SQL 2005 database, networking and programming tools, and is compatible with Windows XP and Vista operating systems. It can be installed on a single PC linked to one weighbridge for small business use, or interfaced with multiple scales within a complex IT network.
A major feature of the software package is that it has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible, as Simon Hallam, global software solutions director at Avery Weigh-Tronix, explained: ‘Our Measurement Intelligence software focuses on ease of use. It has a friendly and attractive interface; familiar and logical screen layouts; and predictable function keys that are easy to use for both basic and advanced use.
‘New modules will be released on a ongoing basis that will further increase its applications and depth of function.’
