Advanced touch-screen control module improves operator confidence and ease of use

The new product range being unveiled this spring from Prolec, market leaders in safety systems and machine productivity solutions, features an advanced touch-screen control module to improve operator confidence, ease-of-use and ultimately productivity.

The ruggedized display module and its icon-driven control software will be immediately familiar to users of modern smartphones and the latest-generation satnav systems.

Alongside safety, efficiency is key to plant operators. With the new system from Prolec, control for safety is intrinsic, and is addressed though sophisticated sensors, monitoring and patented software modelling and intelligent processing. Operational efficiency, however, depends on many other factors. One is the ease with which operators can set up and use the control system. That’s why Prolec have developed a robust touch-screen interface, free from moving parts and hermetically sealed against the contaminants often present in plant equipment operating environments.

The powerful processing platform is in fact at the heart of the new Prolec control system. Like the central control system itself, the user interface is easy to upgrade through software to add extra functionality as and when required.
