New metal separator

Since its launch at the Recycling and Waste Management exhibition, Boxmag's Ferex range of suspended permanent magnets has generated a large amount of interest.

During reclamation operations, the Ferex unit automatically extracts and discharges ferrous metals from a wide range of crushed or shredded materials. Available to suit 500mm, 800mm, 1,000mm and 1,200mm conveyor belt widths, the Ferex separator has the option of a hydraulically or electrically driven overband belt and is designed for industry-standard fitment to a wide range of mobile crushers, shredders and conveyors. It can also be used as an in-line metal recovery unit for larger waste-disposal processes.

The uninterrupted magnetic field requires no electrical supply and is maintenance-free. The effective operating distance between the magnets and belt surface is between 150mm and 250mm.
