New generation of Parker modular batch heaters
Parker’s Batchmix 3000 is an updated version of their batch-heater concept designed as a modular, low-level and transportable stack-up plant.
With over 60 years’ experience of manufacturing batch heaters, their latest generation incorporate technologies from specialist companies including: dual-fuel burners from NA Stordy Combustion, cassette-type bag-filter units with reverse air cleaning from Dantherm Filtration, and PLC control systems from Batching and Blending Systems.
The new design incorporates features such as the well-proven Parker TRM 3000 twin-shaft, direct-drive paddle mixer with ‘diamite’ liner plates and ‘diamite’ adjustable and reversible tips to the mixer arms. Although Parker used a ‘clean-sheet’ approach when designing the new generation of batch heaters they say they were also aware of the tradition and reputation of the older batch heaters and wanted to maintain the standard. They were able to do this by carrying out the complete fabrication and assembly of the plant themselves. In addition, a number of features are generic with other models in their range including: cold-feed hoppers, belt feeders, conveyor systems and filler/bitumen weigh-hopper technology, bringing the benefit of guaranteed spares.
