New crushing and screening products from Extec

Meanwhile, Swadlincote-based Extec unveiled four brand new products at Hillhead 2007 – the S-6 Doublescreen, the S-7 Triple-deck Doublescreen, and the C10+ jaw crusher, as well as a new recirculation system designed to deliver high-quality crushed products through a single machine.

The fully mobile S-6 Doublescreen now makes use of two 10ft x 5ft (3m x 1.5m) screenboxes, each with individual angling and control, to give a total screen area of 9m2 for increased effectiveness and productivity. In addition, longer conveyors allow for larger stockpiles, while an increased frame size provides greater strength, durability and improved ground clearance.

The new S-7 Triple-deck Doublescreen has been designed for aggregate producers requiring larger throughputs and four clean product gradings together with full mobility. At the heart of the machine is the advanced triple-deck double screenbox, which allows for individual changes to the drive, angle, vibration and meshes of each box.

The two 10ft x 5ft screenboxes possess the same advantages as those found on other S-series units, but with the added advantage of adjustable amplitude to suit the screening application. This can be changed on either of the boxes, providing the option to run the primary at a higher amplitude than the secondary, or vice versa.

The S-7 also features a purpose-built chassis designed around a four-way-split design, together with extended stockpiling conveyors, faster-running belts and longer tracks for increased stability.

Building upon the success of the C-10 jaw crusher, the new C-10+ version is powered by a fuel-efficient, emissions-compliant Cat C6.6 engine and features a stronger web and flange construction for increased strength and flexibility in hostile environments, as well as a Vogel automatic greasing system for reduced wear and less downtime.

The company’s new recirculation system, available on the X44 SBS cone crusher and I-C13 impact crusher, both of which were launched last year, utilizes the Extec vibrating grid to provide an effective separation process and ensure the delivery of a refined end product.

In addition, through the integration of a feed belt, the system is able to send oversize materials back the crusher for re-crushing, without the need for external conveyors and without affecting the machine’s mobility. The recirculation belt can also be deployed at 90° for use as a stockpiling conveyor.
