New appointment at Atlas Copco Portable Energy
Eric van Meel succeeds Ben van Hove as regional marketing manager for North and South America
ATLAS Copco Portable Energy have appointed Eric van Meel as their new regional marketing manager for North and South America, with effect from 1 January 2013.
Mr van Meel, who will be based in Rock Hill, South Carolina, succeeds Ben van Hove who became vice-president marketing for generators and light towers for Atlas Copco Portable Energy in September.
Mr van Meel has a long history at Atlas Copco having joined as an inspector for quality control in the Airpower division in Belgium in 1986, before being promoted to service engineer for the Portable Air Division a few years later.
His first international posting was as a product manager, generators, to Chile in 1997, and his career continued as BLM Portable Air Division in Chile in 2000 and then BLM Aftermarket in Canada starting in 2003. Since 2008 he has served as the general manager CT for Atlas Copco Argentina.
