Liebherr loader for Moons Hill
John Wainwright & Co. Ltd have recently taken delivery of a 50-tonne Liebherr R 954B-HDS Litronic backhoe loader in full quarry rig.
The HDS narrow-gauge heavy-duty undercarriage (600mm track pads) provides a compact footprint to be able to safely fit on the fairly narrow benches at the company’s Moons Hill Quarry, allowing the machine to load blasted material into Wainwright’s fleet of 40-tonne rigid dumptrucks. Wainwright describe the machine as productive, reliable and with good build quality, making it particularly suitable for quarry face applications.
The company have also praised the after-sales support they have received from Liebherr and are pleased that there has been minimal wear or downtime in the arduous and abrasive hard-dig application at the quarry.
