LafargeHolcim complete two more bolt-on acquisitions
Company acquires Transit Mix Concrete in the US and Alfons Greten Betonwerk in Germany
ON 1 February 2019, LafargeHolcim acquired Transit Mix Concrete Co., a leading supplier of building materials in Colorado and subsidiary of Continental Materials Corporation.
As part of the transaction, LafargeHolcim have taken ownership of seven ready-mixed concrete plants and a sand quarry, strengthening their position in a dynamic and growing building materials market of the US. Transit Mix Concrete have more than 180 employees.
LafargeHolcim have also recently acquired the precast and ready-mixed concrete businesses of Alfons Greten Betonwerk in northern Germany. Greten, who employ around 100 people, operate one precast and one ready-mixed concrete plant in the state of Lower Saxony.
LafargeHolcim say this acquisition is highly complementary to their existing portfolio and will strengthen their existing Solutions and Products segment in the region.
