JCB win another huge order from A-Plant
UK plant hire firm places order for more than 1,550 JCB machines in a deal worth more than £50 million
JCB have won of their biggest single orders to date after securing a £50 million-plus deal from one of the UK’s largest plant hirers. A-Plant are purchasing more than 1,550 JCB machines, a move which comes on the back of a £35 million order last year for more than 1,000 units.
The latest deal also marks a major milestone for A-Plant as it now means the company has bought 10,000 machines from JCB since the first one was purchased more than 25 years ago. The latest products are now rolling off production lines and delivery will continue throughout 2015.
The new machinery fleet mainly consists of micro-, mini- and midi-excavators, Loadall telehandlers and tracked excavator models, as well as JCB site dumpers which were launched earlier in the year.
Graeme Macdonald, CEO of JCB, said: ‘This order is very significant as it is one of the largest JCB have ever won. We are delighted that A-Plant have chosen JCB again to supply such an extensive range of products.’
A-Plant’s marketing director, Asif Latief, added: ‘This is the biggest order A-Plant have ever placed for JCB equipment and this substantial investment in new JCB machines signals our intent to offer our customers one of the youngest fleets in the industry.’
