Institute of Quarrying’s annual golf day
25th September 2014 – Kirby Muxloe Golf Club – 75th anniversary of ‘Jackson Cup’
FINNING UK and Caterpillar will be the main sponsors behind the Institute of Quarrying’s annual golf day on 25 September 2014, which will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of the ‘Jackson Cup’.
Taking place at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club in Leicestershire, the venue provides a mature tree-lined parkland course with excellent greens, offering a fair test of golf for all abilities.
The Jackson Cup was first presented in 1939 and is awarded to the best Stableford with a handicap of 1-12. A portion of the proceeds from the competition will be pledged to both the Institute’s Benevolent Fund and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
English rugby union legend Martin Corry MBE will also be present and all players wishing to be entered into a draw will have the opportunity to make up a four ball with Martin on the day.
In the evening the former England captain will present a number of the prizes and provide some amusing after-dinner anecdotes from the England team changing room.
A discounted rate of £55+VAT is available for IQ members (£65+VAT for non-members), which includes breakfast, green fees and a three-course meal in the evening. For non-golfers, tickets are also available for the dinner and awards priced at £30+VAT.
