G. Bopp & Co. expand production capacity

G. Bopp & Co. Ltd, specialists in the production of precision woven stainless steel and synthetic meshes, have expanded their production facility to provide a fast-track manufacturing service for a full range of sieving and sizing screens, including bonded hook types.

Bonded hook screens from Bopp are said to offer longer operational life and better performance over traditional spot-welded options, with reduced splitting and little or no investment required to change equipment from one system to the other.

To suit differing applications, a range of resin systems using Bopp GI stainless steel backing meshes, which offer extended service life, is also available from the company.

The increase in manufacturing capacity has also allowed the Bopp to provide a fast and reliable remeshing service, including the remeshing of free issue rings. The company has one of the UK’s largest stock selections of metal and synthetic mesh specifications, helping to ensure customer downtime is kept to a minimum while maintaining the highest standards of quality control.

With a strong focus on quality, reliability and traceability, Bopp utilize square weave meshes with minimum and maximum aperture certification to tolerances that exceed the requirements of ISO 9044.

The company also manufactures high-performance Bopp SI wire cloths for use in sieving and sizing applications. Key benefits of the wire cloth include accuracy of apertures, high strength and rigidity, resistance to corrosion and ability to withstand temperature fluctuations.

In addition, Bopp produce a range of filter baskets and in-line strainers, and offer assistance in material specification, manufacturing prototypes and samples for approval, in accordance with the quality and performance criteria specified by individual customers.
