Drax Power contract for Rema Tip Top UK
Rema Tip Top UK awarded chute and bunker lining contract at Drax power station
REMA Tip Top Industry UK Ltd have been awarded the chute and bunker lining contract at Drax power station, Europe’s largest co-firing power plant.
Rema Tip Top will be supporting operations at the power station by supplying on-site lining services to Drax Power Ltd’s Maintenance and Engineering Department for the coal, ash and dust conveyor systems on the materials-handling plant. UHMWPE and stainless steel liners will be used to protect the plant against wear and enhance the throughput of fuel and ash through the materials-handling system.
In addition to Rema Tip Top’s on-site services, consultation and design facilities will be available to allow engineered improvements to be made in specific areas, if required, and to help improve process flow and prolong the service life of the equipment.
