Develon to show DL280-7 wheel loader at WasteExpo 2023
Company focuses on North American recycling market with new loading shovel model
DEVELON, formerly Doosan Construction Equipment, will be displaying their new-generation DL280-7 wheel loader at next month’s WasteExpo trade fair (2–4 May) in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The next-generation machine offers durability and manoeuvrability for loading and carrying construction materials, transporting scrap, or working in demanding industrial and agricultural facilities.
Key features of the DL280-7 loading shovel include: optional stronger axles; increased lift capacities; wider radiator fin spacing; and a standard reversible fan for clearing dirt, dust and other large debris to reduce clogging.
The DL280-7 is also equipped with a roomier, more comfortable cab with enhanced and relocated controls for more intuitive use. In addition, the loading shovel features Develon’s exclusive ‘transparent bucket’ system, which allows the wheel loader operator to see the machine's bucket blind spots through an in-cab monitor.
For improved safety, the DL280-7 comes with larger mirrors and optional LED lights, as well as a large glass front/side and full-length glass door for higher visibility. An upgraded heating/air conditioning system is provided to keep the operator comfortable during long working days, whilst a smart guidance system provides intuition for them to achieve more efficient machine use.
The DL280-7 loader is powered by a 189hp engine and provides a static tipping load with a bucket of 10.8 tonnes. The machine has a bucket capacity of 3.0 tonnes, a dump height of 2.8m, and a dump reach (at 45 degrees) of 1.14m.
