Bucket elevators from Guttridge
Company to showcase capabilities in the design and manufacture of bucket elevators for recycling duties
GUTTRIDGE Ltd will be showing their full range of materials handling equipment, including robust solutions for handling recycled or renewable streams. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the company says it has gained a great deal of experience and feedback from customers, and is at the forefront of developing effective conveying solutions for many different materials.
Recycling waste is a key aspect of sustainability in the UK. For difficult-to-handle materials such as food waste, Guttridge will be promoting their centreless screw conveyor, which has no central shaft to impede operation and is suitable for feeding anaerobic digesters. The company has also supplied heavy-duty elevators capable of handling limestone in many different forms and at operating temperatures of up to 100°C.
The recycling industry presents very different challenges with noteworthy orders going to a plastic bottle recycling company, to convey shredded plastic, and also to a company recycling glass. Here, the elevators needed to be particularly robust in order to handle glass cullet, with buckets and wear points specified to ensure extreme wear resistance. Similarly, large, heavy-duty, high-capacity machines were designed and manufactured for handling high throughputs of gypsum at a power plant.
With a variety of sustainable and recycled feed stocks available to power generators increasing, so does the requirement for flexible and high-quality materials handling solutions. Guttridge have in their range elevating and conveying equipment to offer cost-effective yet high-quality solutions for most feed stocks. Company experts will also be on hand to discuss conveying solutions for any aspect of waste and recycling.
