Board changes at Grantham Engineering
Huw Williams appointed as technical director as Phil Turley becomes research and development director
GRANTHAM Engineering Ltd, manufacturers of the Invicta range of industrial vibrators, have confirmed the appointment of Huw Williams as technical director.
Mr Williams (left of picture) will be responsible for all aspects of the design, specification and industrial application of the company’s rotary electric, rotary hydraulic and pneumatic piston vibrators.
His appointment releases former technical director Phil Turley (right of picture) to take up the newly created post of research and development director.
Huw Williams began his industrial career with Thorn Lighting (subsequently GE Lighting) in 1979. In 1996 he took up the position of operations director with Newark-based Newtech Ltd, a company specializing in equipment for electric motor and generator manufacturers.
Four years later Mr Williams was appointed managing director of Newtech and worked in that capacity for the next seven years prior to his move to Grantham Engineering, a long-established customer of Newtech.
Phil Turley, who has been with Grantham Engineering for 14 years, will now concentrate on ensuring that the company continues to remain at the forefront of expertise and knowledge in the engineering disciplines relevant to its current markets.
He will also devote time to the selection and development of new products to serve the company’s existing customer base worldwide and to allow it to expand into new markets in the future.
