Big Bell

Bell Equipment of South Africa have become the first articulated dumptruck manufacturer in the world to offer an ADT with a 50-tonne payload capacity. Launched at the Electra Mining exhibition in Johannesburg last month, the new 6x6 Bell B50D features the same modern styling as the rest of the Bell D-series ADT range but with an oversized 28.2m3 capacity dump body. The truck is powered by a 16-litre, twin-turbocharged Mercedes-Benz engine. The first machines off the production line are destined for distribution within South Africa, with full production for the global market expected by mid-2003.
