Avery Weigh-Tronix introduce leasing options

AVERY Weigh-Tronix have introduced a range of weighbridge leasing options to help improve cash flow and reduce corporation tax bills for operators in the quarrying sector.

The company says that with a weighbridge system being a major financial investment for any size of business, many operators are now considering equipment leasing over outright purchase as a practical way to spread the cost of repayment.

Payments range from £50 a week for an 8m weighbridge, including weight display and printer, to under £80 for a high-capacity 15m deck.

According to Avery, even operators who only need to weigh a small volume of vehicles each day can save a significant amount by choosing to lease a scale rather than visiting a public weighbridge.

Based on 30 weighings a day, Avery say an operator would expect to pay around £650 a week, excluding fuel costs and drivers’ time. In just four months, the operator would spend the same as the cost of leasing a basic weighbridge and indicator system for the entire year. This, they say, makes leasing a financially attractive proposition, especially as the operator owns the weighbridge at the end of the lease term.

Avery, who offer a range of maintenance contract options together with service support from their nationwide team of engineers, say customers who take out a service contract in conjunction with the leasing agreement will benefit from a reduced rate as well as the assurance that their investment is fully protected.

Weighbridge leasing is available on all models in the Avery Weigh-Tronix range and the company’s engineers can tailor a system to suit specific site requirements, including printers, driver-operated consoles, barriers and traffic lights.
