Another record-breaking year for Martin Marietta
Eighth consecutive year of growth makes 2019 the most profitable year in company’s history
MARTIN Marietta, one of the largest producers of aggregates, asphalt, cement and ready-mixed concrete in the US, have reported record revenues, profit and adjusted EBITDA for the full year ended 31 December 2019.
Total revenue for the year was US$ 4.74 billion, up from $4.24 billion in 2018, whilst gross profit was up from $966.6 million in 2018 to $1.18 billion last year.
Adjusted EBITDA in 2019 was $1.25 billion, up from $1.09 billion in 2018.
Ward Nye, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Martin Marietta, said: ‘We are pleased to have concluded 2019 as the most profitable year in our company’s history.
‘Driven by improved shipments, pricing and profitability across the vast majority of our building materials business, we achieved our eighth consecutive year of growth for revenues, gross profit and adjusted EBITDA.
‘Looking ahead, our 2020 outlook remains positive across our three primary construction end-use markets,’ continued Mr Nye.
‘With enhanced levels of needed infrastructure activity on the horizon and a healthy private sector, we expect 2020 to be another record year for Martin Marietta.’
