Andrew Webron achieve sales milestone
Andrew Webron Ltd, one of the UK’s leading specialists in the design and manufacture of filter media for dust control and solid liquid separation, have recently achieved sales of 1,000,000m2 of their FiberLox system.
First developed by the company in the 1980s, FiberLox uses the intrinsic strength of fibres by interlocking them in a unique orientation that provides good resistance to the specific forces encountered in a filter.
The product concept involves removing the scrim from the needlefelt during the manufacturing process and replacing it with additional fibres. This ensures FiberLox contains 100% fibres and acts as a strong needlefelt filtration media.
Julian Bickford, sales and marketing director at Andrew Webron, says the self-supported filter media can improve filtration levels by around 8% and achieve a pressure drop of around 9.5% lower than scrim-supported products.
‘Fiberlox has been proven to outperform standard scrim-supported products, making it suitable for use in the asphalt and cement sectors, where high levels of dust are generated,’ he commented. ‘FiberLox needlefelts provide higher burst strengths compared to standard scrim-supported needlefelts, which means customers additionally benefit from longer filter bag life.’
FiberLox can be supplied in a range of fibre types from polyester and polyester antistatic to Aramid, PPS and P84 high-temperature-resistant fibres.
The filter bag media is available via a nationwide network of Andrew Webron fabricators and specialist OEM filter manufacturers. FiberLox filter bags, along with other filter bag media, can also be purchased through North East-based Tyne Tees Filtration (TTF), part of Andrew Webron.
