Quarry Services Director

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Kelston Sparkes for an experienced professional within the quarrying / minerals sector to join our vibrant and successful company as a Quarry Services Director. This strategic role will lead our well-established quarrying division, delivering load & haul, crushing & screening and quarry restoration works.

The Company

Kelston Sparkes is a family owned business which was established in 1952. The company specialises in bulk earthworks, quarrying, crushing & screening, plant hire and CPCS training. We directly employ over 200 staff and run 200+ items of large plant across the south and southwest.

Kelston Sparkes currently operates within quarries for all the major UK aggregate producers as well as local independent quarries.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced, driven and enthusiastic senior leader with a strong quarrying or mineral extraction background.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the quarrying sector, have significant commercial and operational experience as well as strong leadership capability.

Duties will include:

• Leading the Quarry Services division with full responsibility for all commercial and operational matters.

• Developing and maintaining strong and effective client relationships.

• The ability to win work with new and existing clients and the aptitude to develop the business within the given area, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the division. 

• Providing a strategic input into the future development of the company.

• Maintaining our market leading reputation for health, safety and quality.
