Quarry Manager

Skene Group Construction Services Ltd is a well established family business and a leading independent supplier of quarry and concrete products in Scotland.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quarry Manager based at our Soutra Mains Quarry in the Scottish Borders.

Reporting to the Quarry Operations Director, you will be responsible for the Health, Safety & Environmental performance of the site as well as managing the team to ensure production & quality is maintained to a high standard.

Candidates should be self-motivated, have good communication & management skills and have the ability to effectively plan and organize multiple operations within the site. Possess good leadership skills to promote a positive team working environment. You must be comfortable to drive forward our Health & Safety culture as well as being focused on the needs of our customers. 

It’s preferred that applicants have previous experience within the Quarry/Mining/Recycling/Construction sector but not essential as the necessary training would be provided to the successful candidate. A driving licence is essential for this post.
