About the role and our team

Join our team based at Poortown Quarry as our Quarry Manager on the Isle of Man!

This role offers you a unique and challenging opportunity where you’ll lead the continued success of the Isle of Man Government’s quarrying, asphalt and recycled material operations, and use good material husbandry to conserve natural resources and increase sustainability for this limited Island resource.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the planning, sequencing and methods of mineral extraction in a safe and timely manner
  • Offering the sale of products to commercial customers in support of the Island’s development
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on product selection and future market developments
  • Developing aggregate operations to ensure long term supply of materials, securing the required leases, land and approvals
  • Keeping up to date with new innovations in the Quarrying and Asphalt industry worldwide

We are looking for a self motivated individual with excellent leadership and communication skills to be part of our relatively small and flexible team, who’re split over two sites.
