Quarry Manager - Isle of Man

 
  • £48,358 to £56,312 p/a

You’ll be responsible for the Isle of Man Government's Hard Rock quarries, Poortown Quarry which includes an Asphalt Plant, and Stoney Mountain Quarry, which includes an inert recycling operation. You’ll use good material husbandry to conserve natural resources and increase sustainability for this limited Island resource.

This role will offer you a unique and challenging opportunity - You’ll advise the Director on medium and long term strategic developments including capital investment and implement the agreed strategies.  You’ll also be responsible for keeping up to date with new innovations in the Quarrying and Asphalt industry worldwide. 

You’ll be able to utilise your communication and networking skills, liaising with clients of all levels and backgrounds including other Government Departments, politicians, private sector companies and members of the public.
