Quarry Manager

M O’Brien Group are seeking a suitable individual to take on the role of Quarry Manager within our LB Silica Sand quarry in Bedfordshire. LB Silica Sands is a successful sand quarry supplying a range of over 20 different grades of sand, with reserves scheduled to last for close to 20 years. Sections of the quarry are also currently undergoing restoration. 

The applicant will require the following skills:

• Knowledge of processing plant and equipment 

• Knowledge and understanding of the quarry regulations 1999 and ACOP 

• Competence by CPD in order to hold 8.lC responsibility

• Completed or working towards SHE NVQ level 4 or equivalent

• At least 3 years’ experience in managing teams. 

This is a senior management role that will be suited to an individual with the skills to self motivate, manage people and also demonstrate their competence and understanding to any regulatory bodies that may visit site.
