MP Skills is the leading provider of mobile plant training and assessment to the extractives, contracting and mineral processing industries.

We are seeking an individual who believes he/she has the skills and desire to become a leading industry assessor and trainer.

Most likely with five years or more experience, they may be an existing assessor with quarrying, mining, construction, or road building expertise, or perhaps, a current or ex-quarry manager seeking a change of direction or new challenge.

Ideally, the most valuable, specific assessing experience we are looking for is blasting, HSE, weighbridge and plant maintenance, at a high level. Experience in the contracting and road building environment would also be an advantage.

The individual must hold current blue plant operator cards and ideally hold an Assessor Qualification; however, for the right person, training will be provided to develop their range of skills.

Predominantly a field-based role travelling from your home to sites across England, Scotland and Wales, the job includes company car, health care and requirement for some night work, and therefore overnight stays to perform on-site assessments.

You will possess

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, able to liaise with personnel at all levels
  • Strong customer facing skills and experience with an appetite to exceed targets
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Able to prioritise workloads
  • Full driving licence
  • A self-motivated, ‘can do’ mentality

This a great opportunity to coach and pass on experience, whilst giving individuals the tools that they need, to further their careers.

Benefits include competitive salary, company car, company pension contribution and healthcare package.
