Bathgate Silica Sand Ltd is a well-established company involved in the production and supply of a diverse range of high-quality products for a variety of sectors throughout the UK. The business has a strong brand in the quarrying industry and wishes to recruit an Account Manager to operate a key territory serving various markets, covering a large part of the UK.
No 2 days are usually the same but in the main, you’ll spend the majority of your time visiting our customers, building on existing relationships whilst looking for new ones, so we’re looking for a personable individual who has outstanding communication skills whilst also having the ability to respond to technical and commercial requirements. The successful candidate will be comfortable seeking and developing new customers to the business and raising our customers’ awareness of the Bathgate brand portfolio. You’ll primarily be selling a range of sand products to various industrial and leisure markets with a view to generating a strong and fruitful pipeline of sales. The head office is Cheshire based and it is envisaged that you will be able to access it on a regular basis to liaise with the office sales support, quarry operations and sales administration teams.
We’re looking for someone who will be the face of our business out in the field, so excellent verbal and written communication skills will come very naturally to you. You’ll be comfortable dealing with people at all levels, able to develop mutually respectful relationships with both customers and others in our business and will enjoy working as part of and celebrating wins with both your immediate sales team and the teams in the wider business. As the role is field based, you will need to possess a full driving license.
Ideally, you will need to be/possess the following skills and traits:
Proven success to date in sales / business development, with a track record and the ability to sell
Be an excellent relationship builder and have very strong customer service skills
Experience of selling to the minerals sector
Customer relationship management focus
Attention to detail
Keenness to join a successful company environment where you can add real value to the future sales growth of the business in its respective markets
